How much you can get

Up to $2,000 toward buying and installing a Level 2 home charger. The alternative is a $2,000 prepaid card for public charging; you get one or the other. It comes with a DCAP vehicle grant: up to $7,500 with no scrapped car, $10,000 with a scrapped car outside a disadvantaged community (DAC), or $12,000 with a scrapped car in a DAC.

Eligibility
Income-qualified California residents who have not previously participated in any CARB light-duty vehicle purchase incentive program are eligible for this program. The charging incentive is only available with a vehicle grant.
